Untitled[edit]

This is a very nice article, and a credit to people who have worked on it. There were a few factual errors though, mainly concerning the area of the plain, so I've addressed these and also taken the opportunity to expand the article a little. Hope everyone likes it, regards Psychostevouk (talk) 15:08, 19 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Map[edit]

Is there not even a rough map available, or one that could be made, showing the approximate boundaries/outline of the plains? The general description is nice and all, but if you're not familiar with the country, you have no idea of its placement in relation to any other famous geological formation or man-made object. --Criticalthinker (talk) 07:02, 2 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

For comparison see New Forest, where there's a map at a very low definition. You could do that for Salisbury Plain, but there's no doubt it's a bit of a movable feast, as the meaning of West Country is. Moonraker2 (talk) 04:50, 4 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ecology[edit]

I have added a whole lot of stuff on ecology, mostly taken from the SSSI citation. I don't think there is a copyright issue here since it is information in the public domain, but nevertheless it could do with a lot of tidying to make it look less like a list. Salisbury Plain Training Area[edit]

Its probably time we had a separate Page for this. It already has links going to it that come to this page, but should go to a military page. Should one simply copy and paste the info from this Page and build on it ? IceDragon64 (talk) 21:49, 6 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I had the same thought in the past but the present section of this article seems OK. It's not too long and most of the details are in the articles on the individual establishments. Do you have ideas for adding more information to make a longer separate article? -- Wire723 (talk) 08:43, 7 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
