BLP Writer[edit]

A direct link to an article may prove the subject wrote an article. It does not indicate notability. A third party needs to write about the subject. That can be used as a reference. I argued a few months back this article should stay. Since then a SPA has added without sufficient references. The links that were added were direct, not references at all, not by the WP definition. This edit [1] even though it is from the NYT, is by the subject. The references in this article remain very weak. Rhadow (talk) 15:53, 3 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Rhadow: I agree this BLP needs additional references for verification and the article needs to be re-written by a third party. Do you think this could be cited? --Saqib (talk) 06:35, 4 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Hello Saqib -- Your ref this is already cited three times in the article. It demonstrates he writes for the NYT. It does not describe him. It does not demonstrate notability. Only if there were a WP presumption that all writers for the NYT were notable, which there isn't. Rhadow (talk) 12:21, 4 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Rhadow: I have made a slight change. --Saqib (talk) 12:55, 4 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
