Content of the page[edit]

So far, this appears to be half about the different serovars within S. enterica subsp. enterica, and half about treating salmonellosis. I propose we move the salmonellosis material to the Salmonellosis page, and expand more on the biology of the bacteria. There is plenty of material on host range and what determines this. There is also some content of the bacteria's status as an emerging pathogen, which I can add in.

Image[edit]

The image does not appear to represent a "rod-shaped, flagellated, aerobic, Gram-negative bacterium". —PaleoNeonate – 10:17, 26 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

It would be hard to see this in colonies on a plate. The same style of image has been made for another major pathogen, Klebsiella pneumoniae, suggesting this is an appropriate choice. Maonao (talk) 10:30, 26 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Incompletelist of Serovars[edit]

In the epidemiology the following serovars are being listed, but they aremissing in the table of serovars:

  • Newport
  • Virchow
  • Agona
