[edit]Muscatine‘s cookbook claim of Sam Wo’s being “over seventy years” old
[edit]Does not exist. I just borrowed the book on Internet Archive for one hour because I smelled a rat. On page 126, she says the restaurant is “over fifty years old”. The book was written in 1962 and published in 1963. That agrees with the established post-earthquake date of 1912, even though the restaurant is accepted to have existed on or around 1906 due to the earthquake. The point is, Muscatine never claimed it was “over seventy years old”, so that was either vandalism or a major error. I’ve removed the source since it works better in a different context.
