Untitled[edit]

I vaguely remember that this team played a very unusual defense, with 9 men on the line or something like that. Can anyone fill in the details?

IIRC, they typically played with 5 DBs and 1 LB; everybody else was on the line. As the article says, it was the "Bounty Hunter" defense, and it didn't give up many points.

Unfortunately, they also had a no-name offense. Looking over my official USFL football cards, I see that the 1st Gunslingers team had 6 entries:

The next (and final) Gunslingers season, eight players were represented on the League's official cards. Buggs, Choate, and Neuheisel were picked again, as well as:

IMHO, it says something when two of your "star" players are the punter and the kicker. WeeWillieWiki (talk) 02:08, 3 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Sagunslingers.gif[edit]

Image:Sagunslingers.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 22:46, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vague Title[edit]

I do not think the title, "San Antonio Gunslingers," is vague enough with the current San Antonio Gunslingers, how about ending it with (1984-1985), (USFL team) or (outdoor football). If you can think of a better one, tell me down here in the replies, or put it as the title, thank you. Sportsfangnome (talk) 20:22, 7 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
