Untitled[edit]

I have replaced some inaccurate information that was on this page. I think there might have been some confusion between pioneer Thomas Mort who pioneered in Mortdale and Thomas Holt who was the pioneer in Sans Souci. I've checked my information with two sources.

This was the original page: Sans Souci - In 1853 Thomas Mort [1] gave the name to an already existing house 'Rocky Point House" that he had just bought (which later became the Sans Souci Hotel). The name was given in honour of the birthplace of his German wife, the famous summer palace of Sanssouci near Berlin. (Source: The Sans Souci Peninsula by R W Rathbone). Now the name of a suburb of Sydney in Rockdale Local Government Area, by Botany Bay. see [2]
