SNEP 2012 YE Chart[edit]

SNEP published their official year-end charts every year on snepmusique.com. The site was working till 2013 and included Year-end charts till 2012. The last chart is here (sourced in the article): https://web.archive.org/web/20131002215257/http://www.snepmusique.com/fr/pag-259376-Classements-Annuels.html?year=&type=2 Sans attendre is #1. The chart, just like all the others (between 1994 and 2012) includes albums only. It does not include compilations and back catalogue titles.

The new SNEP website does not publish this chart anymore. They publish comprehensive chart, including compilations and back catalogue titles. On this chart, available here http://www.snepmusique.com/tops-annuel/top-albums-fusionnes/?ye=2012 Sans attendre is #2.

This is not an "updated" chart, this is a different chart. That's why removing the original chart constantly by IPs 90.38.43.31 and 145.226.30.81 is unjustified.-- Max24 (talk) 15:50, 12 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It's wrong : there is no compilations and no back catalogue titles here (and 21 (Adele album) is not a compilation or a back catalogue title...). The first year-end chart was deleted because it was wrong, you can see the official report here : Official report, SNEP 2012. The second link (Les tops de 2012) proves it too, giving the sales : Adele is n°1 (615.000 sales), Celine n°2 (568.000). 145.226.158.81 (talk) 14:35, 12 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The chart here is called "Albums Fusionnés" which means "Merged Albums". So what is "merged" there? Chartsinfrance.net copied information from SNEP so in this case it can not be treated as "another" source to prove your point. One SNEP source says #1 and one says #2. Wasn't Adele, as almost a 2-year album, sold at lower-price (mid-price album)? And the original chart does not include the mid-price copies? Were there any statements by SNEP that the first chart was wrong? Any articles in French press? As of now I see now reason to remove official SNEP source. And by the way, the new SNEP website has many mistakes. For example various certifications are missing and many silver certs are shown as gold, etc.-- Max24 (talk) 02:28, 13 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
No, "Albums Fusionnés" means Physical + Download (p.10). There is no compilation and no old album in this board. Anyway, Adele is not a compilation, and not an old album. Adele sold 615.000 albums, Celine 568.000. So, who is the best selling album ? It seems obvious it's not Celine... 145.226.158.84 (talk) 06:55, 13 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
If the differance is 47,000 copies, how could SNEP make a mistake like this? They never corrected it on snepmusique.com, it was there for the whole time till the site was down. Could it be the chart on snepmusique.com does not include copies sold at low price, like "mid-price" albums? Was there any discussion about this "mistake"? Do you have a link? No, the price is not influent in French charts. Perhaps the first link was only physical albums ? Because there is another link for downloads (where Adele is #3 and Celine #24)... 145.226.158.84 (talk) 10:10, 16 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
