Confusing description of teams.

[edit]

The page's text and the infobox indicate the league has three intraleague teams, and names them. It mentions there is a travel team as well.

It also mentions that there are two new teams for 2009, and names them. They aren't listed in the infobox, and the text does not clarify what kind of teams they are. Are they intraleague (home/local) teams? Is either of them a B team or a "new meat" team? Does the league currently have five intraleague teams? That would have them tied with TXRD Lonestar Rollergirls, AZ Derby Dames and Toronto Roller Derby for the largest league (by home teams count, of course).

Without knowing more about the league, it's difficult to say whether or not one or two older teams were simply renamed. Citations would be nice, of course.

The league's homepage indicates that Lulu Lockjaw is the captain of two different teams. Not that uh, anyone who should be editing this page should um, have any control over that. TimBRoy (talk) 22:56, 8 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This page's name needs updating.

[edit]

The league's current name is Santa Cruz Derby Girls. The page should be updated to reflect that, as well as reflect that the league was once called Santa Cruz Rollergirls. The league is also a non-profit corporation (not an LLC) per their web site. The latter I can change, but I'm less than certain as to how to accomplish the former. If you have it available, use the 'move' link at the top of the page to do the article rename. Then edit the article so the lead refers to "Santa Cruz Derby Girls, formerly Santa Cruz Rollergirls" and make sure the name change is explained somewhere in the article. Let me know if there's no 'move' link, and I can do it. —mjb (talk) 23:03, 17 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
