  • Williamson says attributes. I don't have a strong opinion on which is better, though.
  • girls ready for love does this mean those of eligible marrying age, or some sort of divinely determined time in which the girls are ready to love?
  • I suspect it means girls who have entered puberty, but this isn't actually clear in the source; "girls ready for love" is a direct quote. Perhaps it's more idiomatic in the original Italian.
