Some sources on this article would be nice[edit]

So can someone please explain who's Sahriel, Sariel or Uriel are they different characters or is it the same archangel as mentioned in the Book of Enoch?????

The new translation by George W.E. Nickelbury and James C. VanderKam (I Enoc 8:3) tells Sahriel (sixteenth to their leader Shemihazah) tought the signs of the moon which is he was the fallen,(I Enoch 10)The commissioning of Sariel by the most high; go to the son of Lamech (Noah) reveal to him that the end is coming, that the whole earth will perish, and he is one of the four archangel angels (Micheal,Sariel,Raphael and Gabriel). (I Enoch 20:2,6) Uriel, one of the holy angels, who is in charge of the world and Tartarus... Sariel, one of the holy angels, who is in charge of the spirits who sin against the spirit....

This article dosen't make sence at all the explaination is confusing about the characters of the fallen and the holy one, it explains the same angel, name and character as it mentioned... yeah they are diffrent angels, Sariel is the Christain name for the Muslim Azrael, the Malak al-Maut, the Angel of Death, BBH. and Uriel is the Patron of Prophesy (Ezra) and The Gurdian of the Earth (enoch 1,2 And these are the names of the holy angels who watch. Uriel, one of the holy angels, who is 3 over the world and over Tartarus. ) i think someones got eytmology fever, i do think the angels have variations on there names BBT but this seems like over kill, at least find their job :) Dava4444 (talk) 09:03, 8 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Uriel and Sariel are different archengels. Uriel I. Hebrew means "Light of god." And Sariel means "Noble of God." These are the ancient biblical hebrew meanings of these words. Leven cantrell (talk) 06:16, 18 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It was Azazel.. NOT Azrael that was one of the Grigori who took a human wife. Azrael is the name in Muslim Tradition of the angel of Death.
