I am the copyright holder for the Saul Hertz, MD website (http://www.saulhertzmd.com) and the author of the historical vignette in Endocrine Practice, mentioned in the article. I have spoken with Lori Clawges of the legal department at AACE (phone: 904-353-7878), the publisher of Endocrine Practices, who has reviewed the article and verbally approved that there it has appropriate citations.
