Saxtons or Saxton[edit]

I cannot find any item online which calls this Saxtons (with a trailing 's'), other than the Wikipedia article on Stoke. There are numerous references to Saxton Field, Saxton Stadium and Saxton Road online, and the relevant 2013 census area is called Saxton. Is this an error introduced when the Stoke article was created by an anon in 2005, and subsequently propagated through {{Nelson, New Zealand}} to the creation of this article, was the area renamed at some point, or am I just not looking hard enough for the name? @Schwede66 and Grutness:-gadfium 01:40, 11 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You might be right about it being a transferred error - mea culpa. Checking back "Saxton" certainly seems to be the predominant name. I'll move it. Grutness...wha? 01:49, 11 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Yep, named for John Waring Saxton, a prominent early settler who stood for superintendency in their first election. Schwede66 01:54, 11 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

That's a quick response from you both! Thanks.-gadfium 02:13, 11 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
