Question

How can you have a "greatest modern movie romance of all time"? - Scuzzi 20:47, 30 November 2005 (UTC)

How about the greatest movie romance set in modern times?--Torourkeus 03:49, 7 March 2006 (UTC)

Say Anything...

The intro paragraph calls this film Say Anything.... Should the page be moved to reflect that or no? Morhange 16:30, 6 May 2006 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Sayanythingmovie.jpg

Image:Sayanythingmovie.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Music

The link to "A Girl Like You" is to the wrong version of that song. I'm feeling too unmotivated to fix it, though, since that would probably require me to create a page for a song that I don't think I've ever heard before. But a quick Google search tells me that the Edwyn Collins song by that name is different from the Smithereens song of that name. --Allanc 19:49, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

It isn't in the official soundtrack listing, but there is an extended clip from a Mother Love Bone song (Crown of Thorns, IIRC) early in the movie. SmellsBurntToast (talk) 01:00, 12 April 2009 (UTC)

Too many pop culture references?

I think that section is probably too long. Is it really necessary to mention every time this movie is mentioned at all? I think the webcomics references (xkcd and achewood) and the deleted scene from The Office could be removed, at least. MrCheshire 16:15, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

Also, I am not sure what a "peds surgent" is. "Surgeon" would make sense from the context, what do you think?198.53.208.147 (talk) 02:16, 14 August 2010 (UTC)

References in modern culture

I have removed most of this section because it was trivial and unreferenced. The scene with the Peter Gabriel song should be integrated into the plot summary. ---RepublicanJacobiteThe'FortyFive' 16:32, 15 February 2011 (UTC)

  • That scene is the iconic image of the movie. It doesn't need to be incorporated in the plot summary to be included. LHM 15:22, 6 May 2013 (UTC)
That is simply your opinion. There is no valid reason for it to be separate. ---The Old JacobiteThe '45 01:24, 7 May 2013 (UTC)

Critical reception

This film is routinely cited in serious discussions of how the behavior of characters (usually men) in romantic comedy films would actually be considered stalking in real life. Actual, serious articles citing studies and whatnot. Might be worth a mention. PurpleChez (talk) 19:37, 18 May 2016 (UTC)
