People to Verify[edit]

Verified [1]
Needs to be verified Google("Karen Sloan" scarsdale) Only 2 pages. Did her name change?

I just went through the the alums listed. I'd like to point out that Franklin Delano Bluth '78 is a puppet from the TV show Arrested Development and was listed as a SHS alum for over a month.... Anyway, I've listed here four more people left to verify Crazyjoe (talk) 05:55, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Bryan Reynolds ’83 - His wiki page says that he graduated SHS and cites [2] despite the fact that he is not mentioned on that list
  • Gary Peacock '79 - It seems he as preformed around Westchester, but I haven't found anything about graduating from SHS
  • Liza Minnelli - I have found several sites that simply list SHS under education for her, but nothing more. I'd like to find something more substantial
  • Paul Feiner '74 - Found out he grew up in Westchester, but not where

Intro[edit]

[3] The current intro sounds more like bragging than actual info about the school.--E-Bod 23:55, 30 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Distinguished Alumni[edit]

The list is getting long So I moved all the ones not linked to a wikipedia article here until we find the corresponding article. We should Also check each link to make sure we are linking to the correct person.--E-Bod 02:13, 3 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Noteable Alumni withough articles[edit]

Uhhh...[edit]

I don't think Liza Minnelli, Yoko Ono, or... "Awesome-O" graduated from SHS. Yeah... so you're going to want to fix that. I would, but since I don't go to this "school" anymore, I really don't care. --HarroSIN 15:27, 7 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Also, the Griffins need to be reverted to their original actual alumni list. I tried and failed to do that. Apologies. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.30.3.122 (talk) 19:03, 28 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yoko Ono's wiki page says that her family lived in Scarsdale while she attended high school in Japan. She moved to Scardale AFTER she graduated and attended Sarah Lawrence College.

Liza Minnelli's bio on Turner Classic Movies' website says that she attended The School of the Performing Arts in NYC and dropped out at 16: http://www.tcm.com/tcmdb/participant.jsp?spid=132579 . Her bio on Biography.com confirms this: http://www.biography.com/articles/Liza-May-Minnelli-9409583 . Her bio on Hollywood.com, though, suggests that she attended Scarsdale High School prior to attending The School of Performing Arts: http://www.hollywood.com/celebrity/193598/Liza_Minnelli_Biography . 66.45.149.52 (talk) 20:45, 24 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Athletics[edit]

Why does this section even exist? It's simply a table of teams and there is nothing notable to say about them. If it does exist it should at least be listed last since alumni are actually notable. Crazyjoe (talk) 17:31, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's been a year and no one has said why this section should exist so I've removed it. Crazyjoe (talk) 20:25, 6 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I agree. Wikipedia is "not a complete exposition of all possible details."[4]Satori Son 20:40, 6 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
