Spelling[edit]

The poem quoted is "Schließe mir der Augen beide", which is probably what Storm wrote, and what would eeven in today's orthography be correct. "Schliesse" looks wrong. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 12:13, 15 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I'm very certain that the poem's title is indeed "Schließe mir die Augen beide", and Universal's score of Berg's 1900 version at IMSLP shows that too. The 1925 doesn't show that because there's a syllable separator on "schlies – se".
