– I do not believe that the surname is the primary topic for "Schott". Quite possibly Schott AG is the primary topic, but for now let us decide that no primary topic exists. A reader following up a sentence like "The glass blanks were made by Schott in Jena" (from Potsdam Great Refractor) should not be taken first to a surname page and then have to follow a link to a dab page to find their destination of Schott AG. If other editors think the glass company is the primary topic, I'd be happy to go along with that. (And I'm about to make a link from that quoted sentence, so the reader will be able to get straight to their target from now onwards). PamD 20:47, 1 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
