Suggested changes

[edit]

I work for the Science Museum Group and have listed suggested changes to this page to ensure the text is accurate:

Changing the page title to National Collections Centre, which is the official name for the site. [1] This should also be changed in the first sentence and the column on the right hand side.

Including the following text (or similar) in the Overview section to provide additional description of the site: Alongside museum storage facilities, this 545-acre multipurpose site is made up of large open areas, native woodlands, runways and one of the UK’s largest solar farms.

Editing and amending the final sentence in the Overview section to read as follows: In 2019 construction began on a new 26,000m2 purpose-built facility which will house and provide access to over 300,000 objects from the Science Museum Group Collection. This facility is due to open for public tours, school and research visits in 2023. [2]

Removing Handley Page Gugnunc from list in the Collection Management section as this aircraft is no longer at the National Collections Centre. It is on display in the Science Museum in London. [3]

Update the URL for the National Collections Centre in the right hand column. This should link to https://www.sciencemuseumgroup.org.uk/about-us/collection/national-collections-centre/

Hi @Curiosity19:, thanks for requesting an edit. If you have not already read our policies on paid-contributors, please see WP:PAID for more information. I have added a banner to the top of the page explaining your paid-contributor status.
I have moved the page and changed the wording in the article to reflect the change. I have also updated the url in the infobox. I declined to the other edit requests because the prose about the site is too WP:PROMO and the prose about the contruction project predicts future events, and goes against WP:CRYSTAL. Also, I suggest finding secondary sources to support your claims as our articles should rely on those, not primary sources.
I have closed this ticket. If you would like to make another edit request, please see the instructions on Template:Request edit/Instructions, and please post below if you have any questions. Happy editing! Z1720 (talk) 16:44, 21 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
