Planned expansion of section on pulp magazines[edit]

I am working in a sandbox on a planned article on Science fiction and fantasy pulp magazines, which will cover the magazines listed in Template:ScienceFictionFantasyWeirdPulpMagazines, perhaps omitting a couple of the purely weird fiction titles such as Tales of Magic and Mystery. When that's done I propose to rewrite part of this article as a summary of the new article, per summary style. If anyone is interesting in helping with the article please feel free to join me at the sandbox; or just keep an eye on it and comment as you see fit. Artemis magazine[edit]

Could we include Artemis and maybe write an article on it? SF-Encyclopedia entry here: [1] Haukur (talk) 22:21, 25 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Haukurth: If the article is written, we can certainly include it. ···日本穣 · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WP Japan! 20:14, 26 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Cultural Impact or Portrayal[edit]

I wonder if a section on how the subject affected popular culture or its footprint in other media. In particular, I'm thinking of the Deep Space Nine episode "Far Beyond the Stars". It actually goes into detail on the functioning of a 1940s or 1950s era SFM and the way it functioned in the midst of bigotry and institutionalized racism and sexism. Other possibilities are George McFly's consumption of SFMs in the movie Back to the Future and its pivotal role in the plot when Marty dresses up like Darth Vader from the planet Vulcan. I would be bold, but I don't have nearly the amount of expertise in the subject matter to write confidently on the topic, at least not this month. --Srwalden (talk) 06:33, 3 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
