Scorpions are not found here in New Zealand, only pseudoscorpions are. Although New Zealand is thankfully free of scorpions, we do have pseudoscorpions! They look very similar to their counterparts, but without the fearsome tail and sting.

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate.  Ganbaruby! (talk) 18:36, 14 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Some people like to keep these animals as pets, and they can make very easily cared for pets. There are many scorpions that you could get as a pet, orwo of the best beginners are the Asian Forest Scorpion or the Emperor Scorpion. 195.252.203.183 (talk) 18:54, 16 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Error

[edit]

Can someone please help fix a error in wich Thyusana included thrips instead of silverfish (insect) because thrips are not Thyusanans? 2600:4040:BFEF:9F00:C04D:8C80:8EDA:1930 (talk) 12:34, 8 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest to add this picture to the paragraph "Fluorescence": https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Scorpion_euscorpius_carpathicus_vis-uv.jpg This picture shows the difference in the appearance in normal light to UV-light. In normal light the scorpion is camouflaged, with UV it glows bright. Thank you for your efforts & greetings from Germany! erinacaeus Erinacaeus (talk) 20:58, 20 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: Thank you for your requested edit and for your contributions to Wikimedia Commons, as it appears you are the picture uploader. This appears to be a case of taste or personal preference. In that case, I will prefer the status quo. I don't know how much value the reader is going to get in seeing the comparison when there is no shortage of non-UV scorpion images in functionally similar positions. It seems most appropriate for the section named to focus on images of scorpions under UV light. Cheers! —Sirdog (talk) 04:43, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
