I've placed the coordinates based on the modern Scott's Hall on the OS map at grid reference TR079391. This seems to fit with gazetteers I've found which place the old hall at the foot of the hill, to the south of Smeeth but I appreciate there's some wiggle room there. I propose that this article is moved from Scot's Hall to Scott's Hall - the former is used by some literary sources, but the gazetteers (see Google Books) and the modern OS map all use Scott's Hall, which of course is a better match to the family name.
