4 roods?

Thought I should add this note I put in with my clarification note to the talk page as well: the link to rood (Scots) gives ruid/rod as alternative name for a faw/fall which is 222 inches, but four square ones of those would only be about 127 square metres or 0.03 English acres, so 'a Scots acre equals four Scots roods' must be referring to a different unit called a rood - but what? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Adam Dent (talkcontribs) 13:15, 28 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
