because of fears of immigration?[edit]

Or maybe it's because the Japs had just bombed the shit out of the Pacific Islands and their people were so brainwashed by their leaders that they feared the US so much they'd rather kill themselves than be captures and were even convinced to be Kamicaze! They were a culture to be feared.
