"Convicted" on terrorism charges categorisation[edit]

Someone has put Seán Garland into the "convicted on terrorism charges" category. I question this. As far as I am aware Seán Garland was imprisoned on two occasions once in Mountjoy and the other time as an untried internee in the Curragh Camp. I don't know the details of his brief jailing in Mountjoy but I know a large number of Sinn Féin and IRA activists were jailed around this time solely on the word of a garda (police) officer. His incarceration in the Curragh Camp was, as I have said, internment without trial. I am removing him from the category "convicted on terrorism charges" until such time as someone comes up with a citation for same. On a general point I should say that the term "terrorism" did not come into vogue until nearly 20 years later. Coolavokig 18:36, 4 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
