Contested deletion[edit]

This article should be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... (Ammon Covino is not associated with SeaQuest [1]. [2] SeaQuest is no longer called SeaQuest Interactive Aquariums. It is now called SeaQuest Interactive Aquarium & Petting Zoo. Vince is the only CEO, not associated with his brother Ammon. Vince is not associated with any other aquariums besides SeaQuest. This articles does not give any detail as to what the aquarium holds and has misguided information from unreliable sources. Vince's reputation is out on the line due to his brother's actions. The article only talks about 3 of the 10 locations and has outdated facts and references. The number of employees is majorly understated. This article is biased and skewed in a negative manner. A new, updated page should be created in this one's place. ) --2806:2F0:92E0:C3B:28D7:92B0:2417:9119 (talk) 21:26, 11 January 2020 (UTC) WP:BOLA (Wikipedia no es bola de cristal)[reply]

This page should not be speedy deleted because...[edit]

This page should not be speedily deleted because this chain is a very notable in tbe press due to celebrity involvement (Alec Baldwin), its incredibly rapid growth, and animal cruelty-related outcry. It is a controversial aquaria chain in the US and therefore, I'm suspicious of efforts to delete its entry when it is the subject of such controversy. Google it and you will see. Also look at the "Aquariums of the US" page - it runs lots of aquaria. Bhdshoes2 (talk) 02:47, 13 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism risk[edit]

This article is at risk for potential vandalism from owners and operators due to the need to defend violations. If desired, a new subsection may be created for rebuttles, but it should not be included in section/Violations and controversies. Key information about the business structure including ownership history is also at risk for vandalism due to the need to cover up the Covino's history of poaching wildlife. Please be aware of these dynamics. Scott218 (talk) 19:48, 31 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It does not appear that Covino is otherwise notable. Could be discussed within the controversies section. Star Mississippi 21:21, 17 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

+1 for merging Just Another Cringy Username (talk) 21:31, 17 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Star Mississippi, there's been no discussion on the merger proposal since my comment in support. If you want to give it a couple more days and make the merger, I say WP:BEBOLD. Just Another Cringy Username (talk) 20:28, 20 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Removing Amman Covino[edit]

Ammon Covino was never an owner in the company. His name mentions should be removed and the complete paragraph about him should be removed as it is not relevant to SeaQuest Interactive Aquariums. The only relation Ammon Covino has to the company is that he is the brother of the founder Vince. Ammon separately has ran other Aquariums, but was never a part of SeaQuest Interactive Aquariums. This article has the facts: "Ammon Covino is not an employee, contractor or owner of SeaQuest Interactive Aquariums, nor will he ever be." There are no records or articles online stating that Ammon Covino was ever a founder or owner of SeaQuest Interactive Aquariums. It seems that someone (@Star Mississippi or @Just_Another_Cringy_Username), merged "Ammon Covino" info here when his page was deleted in AFD. This should not have been done in the first place.

Requested edit 1:
Change the first paragraph under history to:
SeaQuest was established in 2015 by the Idaho-based Vinve Covino. Prior to the launch of SeaQuest, Covino was the co-founder of the Idaho Aquarium in 2011 (changed ownership 2014), Portland Aquarium in 2012 (closed 2016), the Austin Aquarium in 2013 and the San Antonio Aquarium in 2014.
Requested edit 2:
Remove the section titled "Ammon Covino."
Requested edit 3:
Remove "Ammon Covino" as co-founder in the infobox.

I decline to make this edit, coming as it does from an IP editor w/ a COI. Let me ask, why are you so interested in clearing Mr. Covino's name, such that you're willing to start an edit war on the subject?
While Ammon Covino may not be legally, technically involved in Seaquest, he and his brother Vince have cofounded other aquariums together and he does appear to have a connection of some sort, murky though it may be. Perhaps you can shed some light on it, since you do seem to know something about him. Just Another Cringy Username (talk) 19:47, 25 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
