Nephew or grandson?[edit]

How can he be the nephew of Zuan Francesco Venier, Co-Lord of Cerigo, if his father Mose was the son of this Zuan Francesco Venier (according to the latter's article?--Phso2 (talk) 23:04, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

At last, it's certain that Afife Nurbanu was Jew. So you can't write her name under this page, right? She might not be his cousin. ---User:Gerçek tarih 13.14 —Preceding undated comment added 11:14, 25 January 2011 (UTC).[reply]

You cannot remove referenced information. If you have referenced which say otherwise, then insert them to the article as well, withouth removing these. --Aciram (talk) 14:35, 25 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Venetian sources at the time did affirmed Nurbanu Sultan to be a Venetian patrician from House of Venier and Safiye Sultan to be Albanian. Sources about them got mixed up later, and the idea that Nurbanu was a Jew was a misinterpretation of the Venetian source(although she did have a close Jewish friend). I have found multiple different versions of the family tree of Veniers of Cerigo, and found two common versions: One version made Sebastiano Venier and Niccolo Venier first cousins, another version brothers. Regardless. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 218.190.213.216 (talk) 02:06, 24 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
