The account given on the page is a victorian-era one exclusively from the British point of view. The entire page needs to be redone because right now, its worthless and insulting. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 168.127.0.51 (talk) 21:04, 4 April 2006 (UTC).[reply]

Most battle descriptions within the dominion of India pre independence were documented by European historians hence odds and scales are invariously tilted and exagerated for dictional license. The article is rubbish as with the Anglo-Mysore Wars, British complicity and treachery are totally excluded. Not to mention disregard for numerical truth of loss of life. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 198.36.89.4 (talk) 18:05, 8 Junw 2006 (UTC).

You are both obviously Sikh - know how I know that? Because you get so up tight about it - if you think the article is "worthless" and "insulting" and "rubbish", CHANGE IT!!! But don't start with the whole chip on your shoulder thing. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 82.110.109.212 (talk) 08:55, 28 February 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Please, please, sign comments everybody, it helps to know which particular version of the page or comment you find objectionable. Last major rewrite was November 2006, after the top two comments in this section were posted. HLGallon 10:01, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Why don't you just rewrite the page?
  • It's just a (damn) war, what do you expect, I do not see anything that really glorifies england in there.
  • There do seem to be some unnecessary adjectives.

If someone got a problem with the content of this page, he/she may go ahead with writting what ought to be the true history (or nearest to truth for that matter!!). This is Wikipedia, and readers have every opportunity to edit the page they think is far from truth. Your contributions help the spread of knowledge in this free world and that's what is important in our present generation.Joram Beda 12:11, 14 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've just done a major expansion and rewrite. To all intents and purposes, it is now a new article. Please review and modify as necessary. HLGallon 00:54, 12 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Could some fact tags be insert so that one can find out where citations are needed? I can try to find some reliable sources, and I invite others to help. ManasShaikh (talk) 01:01, 25 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Try Google books. The free on line resource. There are British government papers available on the subject. Hope that helps someone with more tech then i have. :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.8.11.187 (talk) 11:12, 4 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I have found that large parts of the article have been copypasted from "All About Sikhs.com". Retrieved 20 January 2021.. In addition, many recent additions are uncited, anachronistic and convey no impression of notability with regard to the overall subject of the article. Unless the anonymous IP editor (2409:4050:EBD:E958:4576:9964:B710:9A74 (talk)) who made these recent changes or some other editor takes action to redress these issues, I propose to restore the article to the last "clean" state as of 12 January 2021.
