Renaming all Pakistani ministry articles[edit]

Pakistan is one of the only countries on wikipedia which has not a single article for a premiership or the presidency of an office holder, to change this every ministry article from Gillani’s to this one should be renamed/moved to government rather than ministry, for example the “Second Shehbaz Sharif government”. The articles can include information of the governments and the premierships as well as still include a list of cabinets. Titan2456 (talk) 14:38, 29 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Would probably be a good idea, e.g. Imran Khan does not even have a premiership page but does have a ministry and first hundred days page. Meanwhile Shehbaz Sharif has a stub premiership. Canned Knight (talk) 14:01, 1 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, This would require a major change to Wikipedia, I don’t know when we should start. Titan2456 (talk) 15:00, 1 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I guess you could try from Nawaz Sharif's first ministry since he is the first to have his own dedicated ministry page. Canned Knight (talk) 15:11, 3 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I’ve done 3 ministries so far, including the: First Nawaz Sharif government, Second Nawaz Sharif government and Gillani government. Titan2456 (talk) 03:33, 9 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
So far I have created an entirely new First Benazir Bhutto Government page, will work on Jatoi caretaker, Bhutto II pages, etc Canned Knight (talk) 15:20, 12 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Great, I’ve redone/rewritten the Mulk caretaker government, and Imran Khan government articles. Titan2456 (talk) 00:31, 17 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Would it make sense to merge the Premiership of Shehbaz Sharif article with his government or to just make every prime minister a premiership article as well. Titan2456 (talk) 01:43, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
In Pakistan, the prime minister is never called a premier, so there shouldn't be an article referring them as "premiers." Additionally, in Pakistan, administrations are referred to as governments, not ministries, so you're correct on that point. Sheriff | ☎ 911 | 01:48, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, moving Shehbaz’s premiership article to ‘prime ministership’ would be a good idea. Titan2456 (talk) 01:58, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Wait, for British Prime Ministers, why is Premiership used, also I’m unsure if ‘Prime ministership’ is used. Titan2456 (talk) 19:37, 22 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@SheriffIsInTown, I found the official cabinet of Pakistan website, on it, ‘Premiership’ is used, not prime ministership. Titan2456 (talk) 21:31, 19 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The terminology is inconsistent; while a few instances use the term "premiership," most references use "cabinet," "federal cabinet," or "prime minister's cabinet." Sheriff | ☎ 911 | 15:15, 21 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, but Premiership is used much more than Prime ministership, thats the question. Titan2456 (talk) 19:14, 21 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Canned Knight, I just created the Liaquat Ali Khan government page, will work on Nazimuddin and rest soon. Titan2456 (talk) 21:39, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Well my exams have finally ended so I should have some more time to possibly add more 90s governments Canned Knight (talk) 19:08, 3 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I created the Liaquat government page in a rush 😅 Titan2456 (talk) 19:22, 3 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Its really important we stick to the official cabinet/government names and numbers, the official Pakistani government has a list here: https://cabinet.gov.pk/Detail/MjYyMmI3NTQtYTRlNS00MDRhLThjM2MtOTRmNGE3NmUzMWYy Titan2456 (talk) 03:39, 8 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Great, so far a lot of progress has been made, Canned Knight has made the First Benazir Bhutto government and Jatoi caretaker government articles, I have made the Liaquat Ali Khan government article and have edited other government articles, and @Fokket has made the Suhrawardy government and Chundrigar government articles. I have copyedited and updated Fokket’s articles. Titan2456 (talk) 16:52, 16 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Good progress Canned Knight (talk) 09:21, 21 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
