Move?[edit]

By WP:COMMONNAME, we should not move to Sedudu unless English has adopted the name; but it's been ten years. I don't know; has the name changed yet? Septentrionalis PMAnderson 18:44, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Seeing the island is part of Botswana (in terms of an ICJ judgment), it does seem rather strange to use the Namibian name. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 196.14.140.72 (talk) 18:37, 6 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A quick search of Kasikili on the BGN website lists "Sidudu" (with an "i") as the approved name and "Kasikili" as a variant. It would seem most logical to use the Botswanan name since it is officially part of Botswana. The text of the page could reflect the alternate name as it does now to aid in searching. Stating ownership[edit]

The article states that the ICJ determined that the island belongs to Botswana. Did Namibia accept this judgement? If so we should state that it is a Botswanan island in the first sentence. If Namibia disputes the ruling we should state that clearly. Robert Brockway (talk) 04:55, 27 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
