i removed the prod for deletion because this page was created by a student who felt this project needed some exposure. i thought an appropriate outlet for that would be wikipedia. the information within was taken from the arnold arboretums official documentation, and from interviews with the project leaders. im unsure why this is inappropriate. please let me know what i need to do in order for this page to meet guidelines.

The article as it stands (along with its subject) does not meet our notability, Verifiability, reliable sources, and what wikipedia is not policy amoung others. I've placed a welcome message at your user page and you should find links there that will help. In the meantime once you've looked at the policies above you may wish to contribute to the discussion here. Jasynnash2 (talk) 13:30, 13 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
ok, so ive been looking over these policies, and was wondering if you could be more specific about the shortfalls of the article's notability. I imagine the fact that most of the sources of information for the article come from publications of the organization of which this project is a part has something to do with it; however, these are the only real written sources which exist at this point in time. This lack of public information on the initiative was the basis for the creation of this wiki-article. if you could help me figure out what specifically needs to be changed in order to make the article meet wikipedia's guidelines i would greatly appreciate it. 128.103.155.70 (talk) 14:43, 15 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Specifically, the subject needs to be covered significantly in reliable 3rd party sources independent of the subject. Jasynnash2 (talk) 15:08, 15 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

the sources used are the only published sources that exist. also, the subject is not a project of the arnold arboretum, it is a grant funded independent initiative which is simply using their facilities; so the publications that exist from the arnold arboretum are not advertising a project of theirs, it is simply something they are supporting. does this make a difference? 24.128.49.191 (talk) 14:43, 19 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
