Theft

Why aren't there any mention of Ninebot stealing the technology and flooding the market? 80.164.77.108 (talk) 19:39, 5 May 2018 (UTC)

Ninebot has owned the Segway company since 2015. That's called buying, not stealing. At the time the above comment was made, that was already stated in the lead section of the article (a link to that version). Also already stated in the article was a sentence saying that before Segway was bought by Ninebot, Segway had filed a complaint against Ninebot and several other companies with the United States International Trade Commission. —BarrelProof (talk) 16:22, 5 January 2019 (UTC)

Deaths while operating

Should we include malfunctioning segways leading to death and or notable operators deaths? There were newsmedia reports some years ago that a Manchester Police Commissioner rode one off a cliff. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 126.161.136.255 (talk) 22:02, 18 June 2018 (UTC)

Where have you read a single news article about this? There are no reports of malfunctioning units causing death. Steve Lux, Jr. (talk) 14:48, 19 June 2018 (UTC)
Except maybe when the owner of the Segway company died when he rode one off a cliff in 2010. Although maybe that one was not malfunctioning. That was already mentioned in the article, although the mention has not been very visible. (See the version of the article that existed when the above comment was made.) —BarrelProof (talk) 16:32, 5 January 2019 (UTC)
