November 2006[edit]

Perhaps someone other than me should start a Selwyn house in popular culture section. It was mentioned in Mordecai Richler's novel "Barney's Version"

April 2011[edit]

What is the accepted practice when another place has exactly the same name - a disambiguation page? http://www.selwynhouse.school.nz/ has an identical name. Please advise. -- Criggie —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.97.119.201 (talk) 09:09, 12 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If there are only two of them (seems that way now), and you'd like to create a new article, one thing you can do is create it with the name like "Selwyn House School (New Zealand)" and then you add at the top of each page a redirect template. See Template:For This can also be done with other article types. See Chester Township, New Jersey for an example of how it's done when you have towns with similar names. Source[edit]

"The sexual abuse scandal involved allegations that various teachers, none of whom were still present at the school, committed sexual abuse of over 30 minors during the 1970s to early 1980s." - Can we get a source on the number 30? 85.5.200.221 (talk) 07:36, 12 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A usable source was later in the article and I've brought it up as well to the lead sentence in the section. The number in the CBC news piece is 35.Mattnad (talk) 15:23, 12 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Controversies[edit]

I've removed mention of two incidents that involved school staff but did not take place at the school, at a school function, or with school students. Employees of companies do things, but that does not mean those things need to be reported in articles about the companies. Meters (talk) 22:21, 16 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your comment is noted. I wrote the newest incident but not the other you deleted. I have a lot of time during this virus lockdown which is why I have been doing some reading on this school. The very existence of English schools in Montreal is of great interest to me and I will be expanding the articles of other English schools as well in the future. I will of course make sure not to include any unrelated information. Cheers! 173.176.133.219 (talk) 22:48, 16 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
