title[edit]

This article should be titled Semi-monocoque , with a hyphen!!--Petebutt (talk) 14:28, 30 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. I've tried to do it, but I can't delete the redirect page. Any ideas? Help please! Arrivisto (talk) 19:52, 11 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong image[edit]

I have deleted this image as it's not the 1973 Monocoque, it's a 1974 Spaceframe.
I made the same mistake initially when I cropped it. This is a lattice (not a trellis).1974 Spaceframe naked. Williams' monocoque was abandoned for this, raced by himself and Dave Crashford 8¬)

Oops! Can you find and upload a correct image? Arrivisto (talk) 11:43, 12 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Unlikely, copyright, but I'll bear it in mind. BTW, continuing the Norton debacle, the 1975 attempt at a racer was called Quantel, of which I have no memory as I was 'off' bikes around then for a bit, but is adequately covered online.--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 13:48, 12 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
BTW, BTW - without going into too many raptures about Val Page and Ariel Leader, it might be worth your while checking Velocette LE, and also the historical usage of the term 'monocoque' as applied to motorcycles (historic period sources, nothing modern [Walker] or web) as I don't remember it being used back then - might be just my memory going, though. I wont be able to get to it yet - if I have anything LE (apart from the 1993 book I have just leafed through for Freddie Dixon and the 1973 JPS F750) and there wont be much, it wont be included in my rough-index and will be boxed.--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 15:05, 12 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Merger proposal[edit]

I propose that this page should be merged into the Monocoque page. Arrivisto (talk) 11:44, 12 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
