Total isolation
[edit]Not really total isolation, because they're still subject to gravity and the influence of various electromagnetic energies. Would have to remove gravity and electromagnetism before it could really be called 'total isolation'. 111.69.101.106 (talk) 00:48, 21 April 2015 (UTC)
Contradictory statements and the passive narrative voice
[edit]The section: "The five sensory deprivation techniques" it states that the five techniques where found by an international court (ECHR) "did not occasion suffering of the particular intensity and cruelty implied by the word torture," however they did amount "to a practice of inhuman and degrading treatment"
It is a POV that José Padilla was "being tortured for information" and such an opinion ought not to be expressed in the passive narrative voice of a Wikipedia article (see WP:IMPARTIAL and WP:ATTRIBUTEPOV).
So I am removing that POV, as it is not the opinion of the only international court to have passed a judgement on such techniques. -- PBS (talk) 19:44, 18 December 2017 (UTC)
