Proposed merge with Abacaba pattern[edit]

The term "abacaba pattern" seems to be referring to the same pattern that Sesquipower, a.k.a. Zimin word, is about. Largoplazo (talk) 17:41, 6 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

A full abacaba pattern iteration is symmetrical. According to the article sesquipowers have identical prefixes and suffixes. Even if those are symmetrical rather than identical, the center does not have to be symmetrical. Hyacinth (talk) 21:05, 27 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Closing, given the lack of support. Klbrain (talk) 23:06, 2 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

what is there to be clarified???[edit]

I'm removing the clarify from this text:

Sesquipowers are unavoidable patterns, in the sense that all sufficiently long strings contain[clarify] one.

because I can't figure out what there is to be clarified. This is the usual meaning. I'm posting this here in case anyone wants to discuss. 67.198.37.16 (talk) 05:43, 16 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
