Here's a reference for the The Adam Carolla Show.[1] I don't know if anything interesting was said during the episode, because a subscription is required to listen to the show (which I don't have), so I'm just dumping the reference here. --82.170.113.123 (talk) 11:54, 20 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Certain events in Shay's life has influenced him over to YouTube and the aspect of video making. In the year of 2008, a good friend of Shay said to him "You have got to get your comedy out there". Request For Redirect(s)[edit]

While this article is not semi-protected itself, my request is related to a page that is in essence semi-protected, because as an IP editor I'm unable to edit it. I would like the previously deletedSHAY

As a side note, several other previously deleted pages exist that could also be forwarded to this article because they are about Shay Carl or his "ShayTards" YouTube channel, namely Shay Butler, Shay butler, Shaycarl, Shay carl, SHAYTARDS, Shaytards, ShayTards and Shay Tards. --82.170.113.123 (talk) 15:18, 19 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

(edit conflict) Partly done: I've added all the redirects I can as Redirects are cheap. Those I haven't added (redlinked above) have been salted, ie prevented from re-creation by non-administrators. Following 82.170.113.123's logic, I've changed this edit semi-protected request to an edit protected request to solicit admin attention. Correction. "BroTard" is Daxton, not Daxon. RE: Video "The Happiest State of Human Existance" timestamp 8:18.

'Brotards' name is Daxton Charles Butler. Sanders is NOT correct

(I can prove this by looking 45:00 minutes into the vlog about the baby's birth and the card above his head says 'SANDERS').

  • No, Sanders is incorrect because at 27:08 minutes into the vlog, Princesstard continuously says 'Daxy', and at 39:00 you can hear Colette says "It's baby Daxton" in the background. Sanders is most likely the Doctors name.*— Preceding unsigned comment added by Jessegirl147 (talkcontribs) 03:31, 27 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you[edit]

Well, it's been a long while! Sometime after the original article was removed I took it upon myself to contact an admin to ask if the previous article could be retrieved and moved into my user space. After working on it for a while, I never finished it, and after some time of it sitting untouched, it was noticed by others who picked up where I left off to turn it into the great article that it is today. Edit summary[edit]

This is the edit summary for this edit. "Currently" lacks precision. "Shay" is not how the rest of the article refers to Butler, so for consistency that would need to be Butler. That he has "daily vlogs on the SHAYTARDS and ShayLoss channels" is already in the article. The "Vlogumentary" is also already mentioned, in the lead no less. That he "said in October 2014 that he would like to do less, but create bigger projects" is not notable enough: it is an excessive amount of intricate detail that only interests a specific audience. If you have a reliable, third-party source that mentions his "book", it could be added - although, who isn't working on a book these days; maybe wait until he actually releases something. --82.136.210.153 (talk) 14:49, 14 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Categories "Shay Carl" added to: American Mormon missionaries; 20th-century Mormon missionaries; Mormon missionaries in Barbados; Mormon missionaries in Trinidad and Tobago; Mormon missionaries in Guyana.[edit]

I am wondering why Shay Carl was just added to the following categories:

  • American Mormon missionaries;
  • 20th-century Mormon missionaries;
  • Mormon missionaries in Barbados;
  • Mormon missionaries in Trinidad and Tobago;
  • Mormon missionaries in Guyana ?

When there is no clear reason why Shay Carl should have been added to these categories as Shay Carl completed his missionary work in Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, and Guyana approximately 15 - 18 years ago. Peppypoach (talk) 12:54, 5 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Those categories are not "is currently" - they are reflective of the subject as a whole(you know, having been a mormon missionary in the 20th century 15-18 years ago) -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 01:16, 6 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Controversy/No longer active?[edit]

I am not sure if this applies to his other projects, but Shay Carl announced that he was going inactive on his Vlog, due to some controversy. He himself acknowledged drinking issues. In addition, an adult cam model (as I read it), has posted messages he sent her that were of sexual nature, and from what I read, the authenticity of these messages has been verified. Should any of this be mentioned in the article? Cr@$h3d@t@t@1k t0 m3 19:42, 14 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
