THIS-->On January 5, 2013, Gregg Walker, Wright's former husband and then an executive at Sony, called Harlem's 30th Precinct to report that Wright had assaulted him. It is reported that Wright's family members contacted influential New Yorkers, including Reverend Calvin O. Butts, who subsequently contacted Phillip Banks III, NYPD Chief (who later resigned while under investigation) and his brother, Wright's current partner, David C. Banks, all of whom currently serve in the Adams administration.

SHOULD BE CHANGED TO THIS-->On January 5, 2013, Gregg Walker, Wright's former husband and then an executive at Sony, called Harlem's 30th Precinct to report that Wright had assaulted him. Wright was arrested. However, the charges were dropped the same night, and Walker was arrested because of a counter-claim made by Wright, which was allowed to stand. It is reported that Wright's family members contacted influential New Yorkers, including Reverend Calvin O. Butts, who subsequently contacted Phillip Banks III, NYPD Chief (who later resigned while under investigation) and his brother, Wright's current partner, David C.  Done After reading through the citations I agree that the arrest needs to be mentioned for readers to understand why the claims that follow are relevant. I suspect this may have been removed per WP:BLPCRIME, which says not to mention arrests of non public figures that did not lead to a conviction. However, given that she is a public figure and this incident has been widely covered, I think it is appropriate to include. Jamedeus (talk) 01:08, 24 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
