Alma matar[edit]

The article states:

For a long time, the college he went to for undergraduate studies had not been revealed, but he always felt it was superior to his fellow Big Bang Theory colleagues' alma maters of Princeton (Leonard), MIT (Howard) and Harvard (Amy); however, it is implied in "The Tam Turbulence" (Season 12, Episode 4) that Sheldon is in fact a Caltech alumnus. From then, he worked on his doctorate, was a visiting professor at the University of Heidelberg in Germany

I believe that he attended graduate school at Caltech and that in an episode of TBBT, he held his doctoral diploma which read California Institute of Technology. I think I recall him saying in TBBT that he got his undergraduate degree at University of Texas at Austin but I'm not sure. Recently on Young Sheldon he was talking about attending East Texas Technical University. I could not find that university on List_of_colleges_and_universities_in_Texas so I think that is a fictional university. However, Texas_Tech_University is real, even if East Texas Tech is not.
