1863-1979

[edit]

The Wikipedia app shows his reign as from 1863-1979. I do not know where this information comes from, nor how to fix it.

Sher Ali Khan = The villain of The Djungle book?

[edit]

The name of Sher Ali Khan is often given as Shere Ali Khan or just Shere Khan. One must wonder if it can be a coincidence that the tiger/villain of the Djungle book by dedicated british imperialist Rudyard Kipling bears this name. Note that "The Great game" between Russia and Britain in India in which Sher Ali Khan took part is what Kiplings other book "Kim" is all about! Also note that the tiger is the heraldic animal par excellence of India and especially the indian warrior! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.198.216.242 (talk) 09:56, 18 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,

Does anybody know what was this person's role in the history of the Pashto language?

See Talk:Pashto#Who raised the political level of Pashto.
