Update needed — home station defunct?

[edit]

It doesn't appear that Shibuya Airwaves still airs on KYCY (1550 AM); that station became KFRC on January 1, 2009 and KZDG today (September 1, 2011). The "KYOURadio" format that KYCY held when it aired Shibuya Airwaves began to transition to being exclusively a webcast in June 2007 (when syndicated hot talk shows began airing on the over-the-air broadcast to fulfill the then-just-defunct KIFR's contractual obligations), which culminated with the switch to KFRC and an oldies format (with "KYOURadio" continuing online) — but the "KYOURadio" website is now offline, and CBS Radio no longer lists the stream on its infinityradio.com website (although the company has not been Infinity Broadcasting Corporation for nearly six years, CBS lists virtually all of its stations' webcasts there, including those of HD Radio stations and of online-only stations). This indicates that CBS has closed "KYOURadio" — and you can't be in the current rotation of a station that no longer exists. (And the article still claims that, in particular, it's in the current rotation of KYCY, but that station has changed format again; the new KZDG is an Indian-targeted station.) Needless to say, updates are warranted… --WCQuidditch 22:44, 1 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
