Ryūō class[edit]

@Ish ishwar: You're right in that the JSA page has not been updated. Apparently Satō was promoted from 6 to 5 after the 28th Ryūō. He lost in the semi-finals for the Class 6 championship and then lost in the final of the promotion tournament. Normally 4 players are promoted from 6 to 5, but apparently (according to Japanese Wikipedia) Hitoshige Awaji retired after the groups were set which meant that there would've been an open spot in Class 5 for the 29th Ryūō. So, I guess that since Satō finished fifth in the 28th, the JSA decided to promote him to Class 5 to take Awaji's place for the 29th Ryūō[1]. I'm not sure why they haven't updated his profile though. Probably just that it hasn't been noticed by anyone yet. -- Marchjuly (talk) 12:18, 7 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Interesting. I just noticed that 2 tournament pages didnt match his player page and thought 2 pages of the tournament outweigh 1 player page. – ishwar  (speak) 00:52, 8 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
