Speculation in plot summary[edit]

This section of the plot summary gave me pause: "In the aftermath, Jerry's murder of the girl is attributed to a falling rock during the earthquake, and the implication is that he may also be responsible for the submerged body in the river." In what way is this implied? I'm not sure there's anything in the text itself that backs this up. If this is just fan speculation, I'm for eliminating the second half of this sentence for accuracy's sake.
