[edit]This page should not be speedy deleted as an unnecessary disambiguation page, because a shortage may also refer to a shortage/overage of cash. Shortages and overages of cash are rare in counting cash but may happen. This disambiguation page disambiguates the two articles. An overage occurs when the amount of cash in the register is greater than what is rung up. An shortage occurs when the amount of cash in the register is greater than what is rung up.
