Wording[edit]

I'm a bit unhappy with this sentence: Exhibiting hardly any decoration other than a speculative exterior leather covering, the Shorwell helmet was a utilitarian fighting helmet. Of course I know what is meant, but is there a better way to word it? --John (talk) 12:10, 2 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

"The helmet has hardly any decoration, but it can be speculated that there was an exterior leather covering, which might have been decorated with moulded designs" - the last bit well within AS capabilities, though I don't know if sources cover it. Johnbod (talk) 14:53, 2 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, excellent. That's far better. --John (talk) 15:06, 2 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
