It might have been handy to mention who actually wrote the song. Guv2006 15:29, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

An interesting issue that isn't mentioned either is that RATM already used the main riff in a song called "Producer" that they only played live.[1] I wonder whether any reliable sources mention this... FunkMonk (talk) 12:30, 5 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Meaning

[edit]

The song could be a reference to his battle with drugs. Perhaps his creator is the doctor which is helping him kick the habit. He might have trouble with getting rid of his addiction and doesn't know how to handle his new world, because he has been having a clouded mind for such a long time. Rock lyrics use alot of christian metaphores, that doesnt mean they have to be take literally. I don't even know why it is suggested! I think Chris himself wrote the lyrics. Don't dare to adapt the page myself...

Edit by other user: Yeah, seriously. Just because a song has Christian references doesn't mean the band is Christian. (And considering three quarters of the band are ex-RATM, I kind of doubt they're total Jesus freaks). So if anyone feels like deleting that whole paragraph, I, for one, support it.

Original research

[edit]

The article at the moment attempts to dissect the song's lyrics, which can be considered original research, of which is forbidden on Wikipedia. If one wishes to add comments regarding the lyrics, please trace down reputable critical reviews which do just this and cite them - this would resolve the problem. Horrible Article

[edit]

This thing hardly talks about the video and why it's banned. What a joke. Someone edit this thing before I delete all the text 68.192.53.216 17:51, 23 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

hahaha wow, i like how it just says, "Banned from MTV" that's pretty funny i must say -some guy who's too lazy to sign into his account, 614 pm, march something in 2008

Cleavon Little is credited as the DJ in the video. Cleavon Little died in 1992, the video is from 2003. If it is Cleavon Little, the video is taken from another source, which isn't cited. It looks like Don Cheadle to me, but I may be wrong too.
