Would it not be a bad idea to merge Eino Viljami Panula and call the article the unknown child? Im neutral either way but it would be interesting to discuss this. Ottawa4ever (talk) 14:05, 19 July 2009 (UTC)
An excellent suggestion. My only thought would be that "The Unknown Child" seems too general a name for the article: There are surely other "unknown children" of historical interest, from other disasters? And although I'm not aware of any examples, it seems to me that the phrase could apply equally to non-disaster events of historical or future signifigance, and thus shouldn't be applied to any specific instance exclusively. ( I can imagine its use in a case where some unknown child saves the day by, say, pulling a fire alarm in a skyscraper. ) But if you'd be willing to name the consolidated article something like, "The Unknown Child of the Titanic", and create the necessary redirects from the existing two articles, then go for it, I say. It would improve Wikipedia to do so; I can't see how anyone could reasonably object. Thanks! Ohiostandard (talk) 12:25, 11 September 2009 (UTC)

Merge[edit]
Per the outcome of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Eino Viljami Panula (the other prior candidate for the Unknown Child) I've merged this article as well to The Unknown Child. Goodwin is a BIO1E whose main significance is from being The Unknown Child. Icewhiz (talk) 22:44, 8 December 2018 (UTC)
