Untitled[edit]

I would recommend that this particular article on the siege of Almeida during the seven years war become part of the history section of the article on the city of Almeida.  I imagine some of the members of the war history project groups listed below may have some misgivings concerning this suggestion, perhaps preferring to keep all war history in separate wiki pages.  If the article on the siege of Almeida were to grow to a cumbersome size, I would agree.  At this article's current size, I am recommending its consolidation with the currently also tiny article on the city of Almeida.

As a standard, the Wikipedia should not encourage a proliferation of tiny pages.  Tiny separate war history pages are not convenient for readers seeking an overview of history or general information on a city.  Perhaps our war history enthusiasts can use links to subsections of articles on cities, counties, regions and countries to give war history readers a path through war history while leaving tiny war history articles as a part of the history sections of the main articles about cities, counties, regions and countries in consideration of other readers more interested in an overview of the history of those cities, counties, regions and countries.  Howard McCay (talk) 04:09, 28 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
