Number of Joseon's troops?

In Beginning of the Japanese invasion of Korea, Joseon Korea has 84,500 of soldier in whole military and around 20,000 of them are Navy. Purpose of Busanjin garrison that protect people from landed Japanese pirate that dodge pursuit of Main fleet Joseon navy.Therefore there is no way that Joseon had 20,000 of force in this battle.

According to Veritable Records of the Joseon Dynasty King Myeongjong 12th book, Myeongjong's Oct,24th on 6th years(1551 AD)[1]; Ministry of Rites suggest to king that there is Soldier in Busanjin are only 527 of them and Japanese who lives Busanjin are 1,300, Therefore to Tighten the rules to take action easily, when they start rebel against Joseon or cooperate with Japanese pirate. Thus Busanjin garrion are size hold one small battalion.

Therefore, with that record, Korean Wikipedia wrote Joseon's strength to 500~600 soldier and 3,000 of civilian, and Japanese and Chinese Wiki said Joseon had 8000 for total of soldier and civilian by using records of Luís_Fróis that accorded Japanese reference.

Also according to document of Mōri clan of Mōri_Terumoto who joined this war, force of Japanese first division is -

Konishi Yukinaga 7,000, Sō Yoshitoshi 5,000, Matsuura shigenobu 3,000, Arima Harunobu 2,000, Ōmura Yoshiaki 1,000, and Goto Sumiharu 700

Totall: 18,700

And according Luís_Fróis, they had 16,700 for total.
