History

So was this company established in 1979 or 1980? The lead paragraph of the article claims it was 1980. The fact box to the right of the article says 1979. It can't be both. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.73.75.198 (talk) 18:06, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

Environmental Stewardship

this part of the article smells like an ad. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.23.12.157 (talk) 12:36, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

I agree. This reads like an ad or press release. Audio_1 (talk) 18:53, 2 November 2008 (UTC)

Samuel Adams craft brew

Sam adams should not be mentioned on this page, especially not calling it craft brew. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.168.215.26 (talk) 00:44, 26 July 2008 (UTC)

It is the largest US craft brewery, so it would be insane not to mention it. Please stop trolling your anti-Boston Beer company agenda on wikipedia. This is an encyclopedia, not a playground. Blue Danube (talk) 07:10, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

Actually, Blue Moon is the Largest Craft Brew in America and should be mentioned as such. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.202.74.165 (talk) 05:45, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

Blue Moon is brewed by coors and therefor not a craft beer/micro brew. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.34.63.8 (talk) 05:01, 18 August 2009 (UTC)

More photos?

There are a number of nice photos in flickr with usable licenses. Do we want to "spice" the page up at all?

Abortion Controversy

There is no reference as to who the local writer is that discovered the abortion sponsorship. Are those statements unbiased?

Recipes?

Where did we get the lists of all of these ingredients? First, because someone should reference them, and second because I'd be interested in using them. Llamabr (talk) 03:06, 10 December 2007 (UTC)

"Ken" versus "Grossman"

I'm of the opinion that Ken Grossman should be generally referred to in text by "Grossman" rather than "Ken." Using the first name seems too casual and improper for an encyclopedia. Ehb (talk) 17:57, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

His full name should be used as his brother Steve is another important member of the company 24.205.87.211 (talk) 06:40, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

Proper writing style would be to use his first and last name on first reference and only his last name on all subsequent references. There's no need to distinguish him from his brother by using his first name used in all references unless his brother is also mentioned by name in the article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.73.75.198 (talk) 18:04, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is the largest single brand sold in the craft beer segment in the US. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.3.21.242 (talk) 23:44, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

BA top 25?

"Sierra Nevada's beer is consistently rated high in BeerAdvocate.com's Top 25 list"

I like Sierra Nevada, but this is just false. None of SN's beers show up in the BA top 100 or even the top 100 American beers. 99.55.169.106 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 19:37, 1 August 2009 (UTC).

I deleated the comment, because as you say, it is not true. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.34.63.8 (talk) 04:59, 18 August 2009 (UTC)

--advert-- tag added.

Though I'm definitely a fan of the product, I felt compelled to addd the --advert-- tag to this article. This article needs some non-company-sourced information to its body, some rewrite of the unsourced puffier language ("world renowned", etc), and possibly deletion of much or all of the details of the company's product offerings, which currently take up the bulk of the article.

Wilsonchas (talk) 19:22, 2 March 2010 (UTC)

I agree. The entire product listing with its corporate pics and details of each beer is tacky; it is definitely more advertisement than encyclopedic. I plan to make this article my next endeavor.--Chimino (talk) 14:50, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
