Peace symbol bliss

[edit]

If your browser does not display the ☮ peace symbols in this article, please read my explanations. All Mac OS X browsers work natively. On Windows XP, Firefox works but may require installing East-Asian fonts. IE6 fails even with proper fonts. Your Linux mileage may vary. -- JFG 04:14, 27 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oh come on

[edit]

Wasn't the peace symbol just the style of his writing? Do you really think Prince actually meant the song to be called Sign (Peace sign) the Times? M.C. Brown Shoes 10:44, 24 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Move

[edit]

The peace sign is a stylized typography. Even on the Japanese cover, the ruby clearly reads オフ (o-fu). Chris cheese whine 12:20, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sign o' the Times (song)Sign "O" the Times (song) – Following the correction of Sign "O" the Times (album), this article on the title track should follow suit.Rhindle The Red (talk) 00:41, 9 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose – there are three choices here: case of the o, one quote mark (or apostrophe) or two, single-quote or double-quote. The sources are quite mixed, especially on the first two, and are mostly not double-quote; see [2]. I can understand that if we're going to use quotes we'd respect our WP:MOS and make them double quotes. But the rest I don't get. It makes more sense to employ the strategy in MOS:TM, and select, from among the styles in use, the one that most resembles normal English. That's what we have now, and what a lot of other good sources do. The bad move at the album can be fixed after this is settled. Dicklyon (talk) 01:01, 9 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Cover?

[edit]

There is an instrumental track on Billy Cobham album "Picture This" that has the same theme. Is it a cover? Anyone has information? Emilpop (talk) 22:50, 5 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
