Who exactly founded Simmtronics? Was it Indrajit Sabharwal or Brijesh Kumar? — Preceding unsigned comment added by CessnaMan1989 (talkcontribs) 02:27, 3 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Discrepancies in Founding and Companies[edit]

Aside from the question of who founded Simmtronics, what is the relationship between Simmtronics Infotech and Simmtronics Semiconductor? CessnaMan1989 (talk) 03:53, 3 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I also found this(https://www.dqchannels.com/market-confused-over-authentic-simmtronics-distributor/), although I can't find a date for the article, and I don't understand the entire article. CessnaMan1989 (talk) 04:12, 3 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

So, it appears that Simmtronics Semiconductors split into different companies, one of which became Simmtronics Infotech, and another later "re-adopted" the Simmtronics Semiconductors name and has ceased operations. 2601:18D:C180:F6A0:0:0:0:B18F (talk) 14:52, 3 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure about that. There could just be different companies with the same name. However, I do know that the company described in the "History" section was not originally called Simmtronics Infotech. CessnaMan1989 (talk) 14:55, 3 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Comments re items removed[edit]

I just removed a bit from the company history due to the sources being a little questionable, to my eye. A segment about accounting issues was removed because the source is paywalled, but from what I could see was about an auditing firm and that mentioned this company tangentially, possibly - I'd suggest a better source for this claim if it's replaced. Secondly, I removed a section cited to the decision of a court case, which looked to be WP:SYNTH - if there's good reporting on this in a news source, that would be more appropriate. @Tony Fox: The news source is only one of the articles and the fact that it references the issue tangentially doesn't affect its reliability regarding the financial state of Simmtronics Semiconductors. The court case was definitely not WP:SYNTH, but rather a reliable source of factual information. However, there's a far more fundamental issue: much of the content of this article isn't even about Simmtronics Infotech, but rather the former and defunct company known as Simmtronics Semiconductors. It's really easy to get them confused, and I think the article has confused them for some time. I confused them in an edit I made and undid awhile back. There is no evidence that Indrajit Sabharwal had any involvement in the founding of Simmtronics Infotech. I think the need to separate Simmtronics Semiconductors from Simmtronics Infotech is really where we need to be working.CessnaMan1989 (talk) 22:41, 7 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Relationship to Simmtronics Semiconductors and Indrajit Sabharwal[edit]

One of the big questions that I am researching for this article is the relationship of this company, Simmtronics Infotech, to Simmtronics Semiconductors, a former company in India. It appears that Brijesh Kumar founded Simmtronics Infotech in 2005 after working with Indrajit Sabharwal, but it also appears that the company has had no ties to Indrajit Sabharwal or Simmtronics Semiconductors since then. Since Indrajit Sabharwal embezzled a ton of money and fled to Dubai in 2014, obviously this is an issue. Sabharwal was then arrested in Dubai as arrest records confirm, but he was then released. However, India still appears to have a warrant out for his arrest. Simmtronics Semiconductors and Indrajit Sabharwal are the ones with this unflattering story, NOT Brijesh Kumar and Simmtronics Infotech. I am going to remove references to Sabharwal from the article entirely right now because of all of the confusion. CessnaMan1989 (talk) 23:12, 3 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Update. Due to my determination that so much of the article is about Simmtronics Semiconductors and not Simmtronics Infotech, I am preparing to tentatively make this article about the former Indian company known as Simmtronics Semiconductors, and I will recommend that a new article be written about Simmtronics Infotech.
